Gasket, Intake Manifold Valley

There is supposed to be a dab of sealant in the (4) notches between the cylinder heads and engine block before fitting the lower intake manifold gasket. If the engine had been opened before, previous mechanic may not have done this step when fitting the gasket last? Not sure where the oil leaks are at from your description. If you have pictures, that'd help us to narrow down your issue.

Looks like Extinct may be right. Definitely looks like crankcase overpressure. Check the valve cover breathers to see if they're clogged. If so, I recommend removing the valve covers to pull out the breathers. There's a good chance that they'll break apart because they're plastic and old, hence why I recommend removing the valve covers so that the bits and pieces don't fall onto your valvetrain. While you got things apart, replace the valve cover gaskets with new ones and get the PCV mod by Best4x4 done: https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...v-88424/page4/
