Gear shift lifting from console on 95' auto
The gear shift seems to be lifting out of the console on my 95' automatic disco. I bought the truck last year and this may have been there then but I am not sure. The lift is probably about a 1/2 to 3/4 inch and is the highest at the back of the gear shift area. Is this normal for an older disco one with 150,000 on it or do I have something to worry about?
Thanks, Aaron |

The whole console or just the "T" on the gear shift nob?

It is the whole black area area around the gear selector. Does not look like the gear selector is in any different position relative to the black surrounding area. The whole thing is just lifting away from the rest of the console.

Ok, so it is the part that has "P R N D" on it. It just snaps in place. Pick it up and replace the little light bulbs if they are burnt out.
Then the back goes in first with tabs and then the front snaps in. If it is broken then you can buy a replacement. www.roverlandparts.com www.atlanticbritish.com |
