Good Skinny Tire? Discussion, Opinions?

2 Attachment(s)
I've been looking into tires as I'm wondering what I will replace my current set with. I have 16x7 wheels as seen below and are currently running 265/75 tires.

I want something skinnier, and would prefer to stick with a M/T however I do want something that is still good on the road as well.

What tire size would you guys suggest narrowing down to, and what brand/model?

I'm not leaning one way or the other here yet so it's a wide range open discussion right now. Of course personal experience would be great, and so would pictures as well.

235/70's will be a good 3" shorter than what he's running now. Assuming he wants to keep his height 235/85 is about it for skinner, unless he finds some 7.50R16's, which come up from time to time in the Michelin XZL, but are usually over $200 a tire.

Anti- Got your post over on LRO, just going to reply here for now.

235/85r16 or 7.50R16 is what I'm aiming for. I do not want a shorter tires, just more narrow, and as long as the bead doesn't have to be "stretched" outwards to seat to the wheel with those sizes, giving me this stupid ass kind of look below, I'm happy.

I would love to get some XZL's, but I've yet to find any around myself, and would like to go with something a little more readily available if I ever need a quick replacement.

I've found these being talked about quite a lot on multiple forums...

I would love to have these, not just because of the price, but because this is the style of tire I like. However despite the fact no one seems to have anything bad to say about them, I'm still a bit worried about it.

Look at the Cooper Discoverer STT. I had a set of the old style that looked like this

Mine were 7.50R16 but they've quit making that size.

Definitely one of the tires at the top of my list currently.
