Headliner cargo net removal: How do I remove those weird pegs

Got the headliner pulled from the parts truck and getting ready to refurbish it for new life in my new D2. Came out easier than folks on here lead to believe. All the trim came off easily without breaking any clips etc. However I cant for the life of my figure out how to remove the cargo net and the trim piece between said nets. Bunch of strange looking pegs Ive never seen before. Prefer not to break anything. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

PS: Front section of headliner tore apart. Right above where the rear view mirror is positioned. How should I go about repairing? A fiberglass repair kit? Or a strong glue? Looking for longevity and good looking final product.

Take a pair of pliers and unscrew the little nuts holding them. Be careful not to break.

The torn section will be covered by plastic trim so just glue a piece of scrap something on the back to join the torn area.

Shorten the rope on your cargo nets before reassembly if they are stretched out.

For future reference, those little nuts are actually 9mm. You can use a deep socket and remove them delicately by hand rather than with a ratchet.

I broke a couple of those pegs when redoing my headliner recently. Fixed them with some screw posts and JB Weld.

Here's my write-up, if it helps:https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...e-notes-89700/

Good luck!
