No horror stores on my end.
but at 102,000 miles my transmission sort of shudders at start off the line now and again.

I think my Discovery towed horses - last owner.

The ZF22 and ZF24 trannys are good strong units and should not be put down for having issues.

Thanks man...its an 85 but it was completely re-hauled in 2000, they split the hull, new stringers, fiberglass and the interior was redone. The only thing they didnt do was new decals, which boggles my mind, it doesnt look too bad but its dated...i guess they wanted to keep it original Im in the process of stripping the decals and will re-do them this year before she gets wet. I am the 3rd owner and the last owner handed me a binder 3" thick of everything that was done...love finding those types of people...

It's an Aerial tower...cheapest on the market when i got it but works great, doesnt flex too much but then again we dont get crazy behind it.

We use to weight it down with a water sack in the back locker (~350lbs), easier to just get a bunch of people in the boat.

Parkin11 - have you decided on anything yet?

No I avoid towing on the 285 until I get re-geared. I have a set of stock size street tires on 18s that I switch to for towing or long trips. Gears and lockers are coming at the end of the month. Went with dual trutracs and 4:43 gears, now I can just keep the 285s on.

We rode a few times out at Jackson res, and we just bought a house in Westminster and picked up a permit for Stanley.
