Help!!

I have a 99 disco II that has 130000 miles on. A couple of days ago it started to have a hesitation. I had this problem before so had it scanned and replace the mass air flow meter. Fixed it. Yesterday it started to miss. Replaced plug wire. Fixed it. Now the check engine light is flashing and the truck will barely run. The catalitic converts is really smelling after it has run a few minutes. I'm kind of afraid to drive it. So I dont have any codes. But I don't recall the check engine light flashing like this before. Acts like its not getting any air. Any ideas? Thanks for the input.

First one is a mass air flow code, the 300's are all cylinder misfire codes the last digit being the identifier for the cylinder. The 1k codes all say MAF signal failures. Someone can correct me here but I think all of those cylinders are on one coil pack. Numbers 1,4,5,6. So coil pack? Or a bad MAF would be a guess.

Back again. Bought a scanner. Reset the codes, got a 306 consistantly. Bad number 6 plug wire. Now just getting the 1590, 1884, 0102 codes. Truck will run now and takes several laps around the nieghborhood before check engine comes back on. Are the those 3 consistant with MAF? Thanks guys.

Coil packs are 2,3,5,8 and 1,4,6,7.

1590 is a rough road code and has to do with your ABS problems. You won't get rid of it until you get the 3 amigos sorted out. 1884 is a CAN code and should go away when you take care of your MAF code (0102). Where did you buy you MAF from? Is it an actual Rover MAF? If not return it and buy a rover MAF.

Did you replace ALL the plug wires?
Did you replace your plugs too?
