HELPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!pleaseeeeeee P1590 AND P0734
Ok so I have a 2003 LR DISCO and Its driving fine but the three Amigos popped along with the Service Engine Light (Yikes) i went to a place to get the codes read and they found the P1590 and the P0734 and I am not really sure what to do....every time i go to the mechanic they give me the run around or they say they're booked) I also did a panic stop and the brakes didn't pulsate also I don't see any brake dust but I might need some new brakes does anyone know any cheap place to get that done in Charlotte NC, also sometimes my sports mode comes on then goes off!!!!!Help Help

stop wasting your time with that mechanic. most mechanics get scared by Land Rovers and when they see the three amigos they really run.
the stored codes they pulled off your computer are a 1590 rough road/cruise control code and the other usually leans towards the MAF sensor its 4th gear incorrect ratio. BUT if your S light is coming on randomly it might actually be something in your tranny. with 61k on the clock i would start with the 60k major service sticky in the how to section.
do a search on the forum for 3 amigos. you need a ABS scanner a regular ODB2 scanner from an auto parts store wont tell you whats wrong with the ABS system. It could be your brakes that brought on the light.
also you should look into having your front drive shaft rebuilt or replaced with one with greasble u joints.

First, you need to take a breath and not sound so panicky. How long have the 3 Amigos been on? Have you noticed any difference in the way the tranny shifts into 4th. and be specific when answering and when was the tranny last serviced?
Second, don't take it to the mechanic when we can help you.
