Default High Idle is gone, now hesitation, slight tick a clue?

Im getting a hesitation when accelerating from a stop. But its only half the time. Is there anything I should check out before I order a new TPS tomorrow?

There is a check engine light but it came on when I sea foamed today. Ill get it checked tomorrow anyways.

Should I check my fuel pressure?

Compression?

[Im asking because I will have to rent these tools [free]

Im also getting a slight tick from the passengers side. I thought it would be an exhaust leak but using a metal rod as a stethoscope, I could hear it coming from the cylinders but cant narrow it down to one. It does it when its warm but I can't say it does when its cold.
