How to determine rear braking power ?
 

Hi.
Lubricated the rear hubs today, 30K miles after last time, and noticed the 'polished' area on the brake disc being not the full width of the pads. Like there is little contact/grabbing if any at all. No dragging when turning by hand.
Should I suspend the vehicle on its chassis and apply brakes at wheel speed to evaluate if the rears are doing something ? Or, how to find if the rears are contributing a fair share to stop ? Dynamometer rollers ?

By the way, to lubricate hubs:
Wheel out
Caliper out, two 13mm bolts - twelve side socket,
Disc out, philips screwdriver
Sensor out, hex wrench
Grease into its hole with a rubber nozzle on the pistol. Injected like 4 oz each.
Reassemble.
Another day will do the fronts...

Adding to the above; is there published specifications of stopping distance ?

I used lithium grease because that is what I had now. Previous times whatever bearing grease had on hand, which was much better than running nearly dry. Growling faded away in a couple of weeks first time I did it and has never returned. If I remember well, the fronts overflow by the back of the hub seal oozing any old grease that should be wiped away.
