Default Bad hub?

Is it possible for the hub/wheel bearing to go bad and not set off the 3-amigo's? I am getting a dull-thud noise, cosistent with road speed, that sounds an awful lot like a bad hub/wheel bearing. Also, no looseness in the either front wheels(where it sounds it is coming from). It gets worse under load than when coasting. Front d/s is brand-spanking new, but I am going to remove it and drive w/out it to see if it changes.

What ya'll think?

Have you lube the drive shaft and was the centering ball replaced?
Lift the bad side and wiggle the tire from 12 and 6 position.

Yes it is possible.
But try this first, swap your tires and see if the noise follows.
SO if it is coming from the right front swap it with the left front.
It sounds more like a stone stuck in the tire to me.

when my front left wheel hub/bearing went, it set of the dash lights, i had it reset, and it was another 2 or more months till the lights came back on from it, by then, it was in definite need of replacing, it was pretty clunky
