How to remove front Driver's Side Door handle?

Hi everyone, does anyone know how to remove the front driver's side door handle on a DII? I looked on the inside of the door, but i'm kinda scared i'm gunna break something if i pry too hard in the wrong spot.

Thanks in advance everyone! :)

I assume you are referring to the outside door handle? If so, open the door and remove the little torx screw which is located in the door jam - it holds the handle onto the door from the outer edge. Then once you have the door panel off, reach back in there and pull up (kind of hard) on the silver metal rod that connects to the door handle via a clear plastic piece. Then you are ready to remove the door handle from the outside. It will feel like there is something still holding it in, but it's just a slider clip. What you do is grab the handle with your hand firmly and push it toward the front of the truck. You may have to do it a couple of times, but then it will just pop out. Keep in mind I'm not saying to pull it outward (like you're going to open the door), rather forcefully "slide" it towards the front of the truck, abruptly / quickly. I had to take all 4 of mine off a few months ago for a vehicle wrap. good luck - email me if you can't figure it out and we can talk.

Yes that worked! Thank you so much! That just saved me a lot of time & money :)

Sure thing - glad to help. When you put it back together, just slide it back the same way, and then it's a bit of a pain to get the metal rod back into place with the plastic supporter. You just have to make sure it "snaps" in all the way - you'll have to press it hard until it pops. Otherwise, you'll be taking everything apart again one day when you shut your door and then have no tension on the door handle ;)
