I make the search and no find...watts linkage

Replacing the watts linkage bushings...Im thinking that replacing all 5 would be the way to go? I cant seem to find any write ups.

I believe it's pretty straight forward. You're gonna need a press to "properly" get the old ones out an new ones in. I think i saw a write-up/how to on Dweb. Where are you sourcing the bushes from?

Might me worth it to source a slightly used complete unit or search the classifieds for new bushes at a discount price.

Yah I saw that...im in line for them lol

AdrenalinPlease 02-26-2013 03:14 PM

Can I take the arms off and take them to have the bushes pressed in and out?

coors 02-26-2013 03:51 PM

Yup, thays the only way to do it. Are you lifted? Its recommended to install the offset arms if your at or over the 3" mark.

Here's a write-up
http://www.discovery2.co.uk/Watts%20...%20Bushes.html

Here's where I got the bushings from:
Jaguar Parts | Land Rover & Range Rover Parts | British Parts UK

It was approx $30 shipping (I also bought a ACE filter and some other small items). I got the order the next day, not bad UK to NY in a day.

You will need a press to get the new bushings in. I was able get the old ones out by burning out the inside and cutting the outer race with a hacksaw

I have a press at the shop so no problem there.

Thank you for the links...thats what I was lookign for.
