Ideas, disconnects.

RE: Ideas, disconnects.
OK, finally got the front disconnects fitted. They sent the wrong ones though, the holes/pins were right but they sent the jeep saddles so I had to trim the swaybar mounting tab to get it to fit. I don't know if the Rover specific ones are different but the lower mount pins are very close to the axle housing on the passenger side. Probably going to weld on some extensions and drill new holes for the tapered pins to get it up and clear a bit to make connecting/disconnecting a little easier.
The ride with the rear springs (HD RTE) and front sway connected again is dramatically better. I don't know who thinks airbags and no front sway is sane.
However the rear swaybar is undersprung now. I'm going to try mounting the rear disconnects an inch up the swaybar with a new hole and saddle in a couple weeks when I get a chance since the new links are longer. This should stiffen up the stock rear bar, hopefully enough. The front sway is fine with the extended links, the back still moves too much.

this thread is fairly recent........so in reference to ace. and still having it work properly,
I extended my sway links and am wondering if I made them toooo long. is that possible. I am just over 3" on extension. about the same as lift. i prefer to keep ace working properly and i don't want to crawl under my truck prior to going off road . any ideas? 3-3=0...right?
