If mine goes out, I'll be looking at options like these and do it myself. I'll match speed and voltage and make it work.

Yeah, there's no reason you couldn't get a similar motor and mount the sensor in front of it in the same location. Ppwer, gnd, a couple of wires for the sensor, done.
