Just got Laid off from temp job in Boulder CO. d2 may be for sale
Just got the word I am laid off after being in Boulder, CO for 4 months.
Not sure if I will part with my Boulder, CO D2 yet or not. Need to decide to keep a Saab with 198,000 miles on it Or this D2 with 98,000 on it. Or sell them both. I need to drive one back to Seattle, WA or sell them both in Denver / Boulder and fly back.. These are the times which test the meddle of men, yes? |
Choices Choices.
Burn them and get insurance money ;) |
Do you have any off-road mods you want to part-out before selling? 9 out of 10 wont even know what a diff guard is for... skid plates, slides, etc?
|
Keep the disco and go gold mining in alaska...gogo.
|
Hey, I am sorry to hear that.

My condolences, bro. Its a tough time for a lot of people out there.
And yes, these are those times. Life is like a game of hockey: if you keep your head up and shoulders square to the target, you can take down anything. |

Its where you want to place your priorities. I started my own business on eBay about 5 years ago after being laid off. I drive less and work from home. I do computer consulting on the side. You can make it in CO. Its a state worth keeping your Rover in. Thats if you like off roading? You may want to move to Denver, Boulder is a little more pricey :). I hope you can find another job man... There seems to be a lot of opportunity in the front range, from my job research.
I will be moving to Denver on Aug 7th around the Aurora area. I'm so excited to go from boring corn fields in IN to a place I've felt called to for the last 5 years. I'm a mountain biker at heart. A wheeler 2nd. I love the mountains! |
Sorry J thats a hard pill. I agree boss the Rover will serve you better in CO.

Isn't there is big forest fire around there somewhere?
Sure would be ashame if the SAAB was burned and the insurance check paid for the Disco. Whichever one is paid off is the one you keep. Sell the SAAB, drive the Disco back home, park it in a friends barn as soon as the repo guys come looking for it, cover the VIN# and remove the licence plates. If it is parked in a fenced in back yard or locked barn/garage they cannot go get it without the sheriff with them. If they cannot verify the VIN#, they cant take it at all. |
