Key.....

I wonder if you have time to answer another button question? I had never noticed this button below my steering wheel today and I cannot figure out what it is or find it in any diagrams. Do you know what this button is?

The previous owner was an eccentric boat captain.

No doubt not a LR switch. It looks a lot like the switch HELLA (and others) use in their lighting harness for driving and fog lamps.
Also check the rear of the truck, on top/sides and under the bumper for lights. Often people mount lights in the rear for additional backup/reverse.
If you really want to know what this switch does or did just trace the wires. At some point you will run into a relay and so on...….
Maybe the eccentric boat captain used that switch to power a bilge pump to remove the water from the leaking sunroofs.

Had same issue. Carefully solder the key together (without filling in the edge 'teeth') and take to ACE hardware. ACE has these key blanks and can cut a new key for a few $'s...... I do not remember the actual key blank code....but it was a standard blank....
NOTE: ACE will only cut their own key blanks.......no questions, no paperwork needed...

I told my dad about your bilge pump comment and we had a good laugh. Dad's a commercial fisherman and I grew up working on boats. We are quite familiar with bilge pumps. LOL.
