Lamp Bar Mounted w/ 8" Lights!
So, I got my light bar mounted and lamps installed the other day but I've been out of town on business since last Monday.
I was unable to get pics of the install because I broke my camera. I ended up getting a replacement yesterday, so here are the installed pics. If anyone wants me to get some extra photos of how it's mounted, etc. just ask. http://i31.tinypic.com/2mybvuv.jpg http://i27.tinypic.com/1zva8ts.jpg The lights are not currently working. I still havent decided how I want to wire them up. It is a Simbars Lamp Bar that I ordered from England and 2x ProComp 8" fluted driving lights. All together it ran about $200. -J |

They look good.
Wire them up so you can use them with high or low beam. |

I've been thinking about wiring them up to use the rear fog switch.
They're fluted, but I'm still deciding if I'd ever want them on without the lights. Hrm... |

My old 4x4 was set up to use the lights with out any other lights and it was nice.
It did take a little longer to turn them off for on coming traffic. |

Which route did you go on the install? Did you take off the entire bumper? I'm thinking about buying this bar too and am curious about your procedure.

I left the bumper on and took the grill out. Threw a wrench on the bottom nut and tightened it from the top.
It would be a lot easier to do it with the bumper off, however, with it on it only took me about 30mins. (including the measurements). I don't think you could get the bumper off and back on in that amount of time. Add: I also removed the cross bars that support the radiator. They're right on the other side of the grill. |
