Last thing

Just as I am almost done sorting out all the problems with my disco, the only things left seem to be:

1) The rear door seems to have a little gap at the top left when closed, which might be a bad hinge, where can get get a new hinge, or could this be something else.

2) My climate control unit make a whiney type of noise when it is on low.

3) The bottom row of lights on the climate control unit don't work, am I able to replace them myself?

Would like to work this stuff out. Any ideas?

Atlantic British has bulb kits for the head unit. Instruction video on you tube.

Hinge's do sag over time its alot of weight hanging on them. possible problem. What color do you need? So you don't have to paint.

Climate control has 6 bulbs three Toshiba A14V3W and then 3 that are smaller in diameter but do not have writing on them. They have longer wire on them in order to wrap them around the lamp holder. Ypu can probably get them from auto store or radio shack maybe. Tere are two gold colored Philips screws on the sides of the climate control box. There are two brackets that hold in the box to the dash, if you use a old license card you could slide it in next to the unit and release the unit from the dash. Good luck newbie happy Turkey day also!

Here is the link to a thread that might help with the leaking rear door. I made a post on the 1st page of the thread that explains how I fixed my rear leak. hope this helps...

And a whine in the HVAC fan can just be trash inside it, like leaves. Drop the $3 cardboard under the glove box, and there are three bolts to drop the fan. The fresh air intake is usually the source of all sorts of small trash.
