Leaks Leaks and more leaks
 

So today I spent a decent amount of time under the Rover.

Fixed the leak in the rear differential and hubs - woohoo

Found out the leak in the transfer case is more severe than I thought with fluid originating from somewhere on the top and it looks like where the tranny and t-case meet. So I'm going to try the blue devil stop leak (white shepherd) and see if that helps, otherwise the T-case needs to come out .

Tried to trace where all my coolant is going and found that I have fluid coming down onto the starter and the other side of the engine in the same spot. Fluid is also coming down the block on the driver side front of the motor. I top up the reservoir every weekend now and it's insane. This needs to stop.

I need some help identifying what seals could be gone based on that... I'm leaning towards that valley gasket since fluid is basicly pouring out all sides of the engine.

Also my oil is in great shape, managed to fix all leaks with the engine oil and it is the way is should be.

So a pressure tester would make the leak easier to find, as it makes it constant witout engine running. Valley pan can be wet on top.

x2 on the pressure test. Most auto parts chains will lend you a kit.

Front driver's side leak is likely the timing cover gasket - fairly common from what I read in this forum. Search for timing cover leak using the Search function.

my driver side leak turned out to be a head gasket found it right behind the ac compressor. be sure to look good there

I Really don't want to but with the amount of leaks I have would it be cost and time effective to get that kit from Atlantic British and swap out all the gasket?

Ok so doing some thinking I'm going to go ahead and do all the seals on the engine, oil pump and water pump.

I found these kits on Atlantic British, are there any other things I should get?

IMHO get an aftermarket water pump with the brass impeller. Also consider timing chain while you have it open.

Any good vendors for the water pump and timing chain will be checked. Also where can I get a good set of headbolts?

ARP bolts, BP Utah on the WP. Spike once posted about a cross over timing chain from some other GM vehicle.
