Default Left rear wheel sensor fault

Here's one for the group,

Had a leaky axle seal at left rear wheel so replaced O ring and now throwing sensor fault? Pulled sensor back out, cleaned and replaced and still throwing fault at about 20 mph. Did I screw up sensor some way? Any thoughts?

The sensors are robust but the ABS reluctor ring is probably gummed up with oil, grease and crud or it could be a plug/socket fault on the sensor. You can try blasting the reluctor ring with an air line through the sensor hole and turn the hub/wheel around whilst doing this. Obviously it will need to be on axle stands.

Thanks for the reply OffroadFrance,

It did have a fair amount of crud that I cleaned and gave it a shot of air, took a couple of tries but all good now, no fault!
