Lift Kit: Can I remove passenger front shock tower WITHOUT removing expansion tank?
 

Hey there....

Is there any way to remove the passenger side shock tower (2004 DII) without having to remove the expansion tank, and re-bleed the cooling system?

I am installing a new OME kit, and that tank is being a pain.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated, already WAY over time allocated to this project (that's part of the love, right?)

Just pop it loose to get at those two bolts. Once loose you'll have room. You don't have to drain it or remove any lines.

just dont snap the bottom nipple off the expansion tank when you remove it.....

Yeah, no need to drain the cooling system. Just lift the X-tank out of its mounting and swing it off to the side. It literally pulls straight up and out.

Refer to the picture below. Gently lift up the front of the tank and slide it forward.
