lots of codes

Ok, my buddy has a 2000 D2 with 110K on it. He had his head gaskets replaced at 95K. All O2 sensors were replaced when the heads were done. Then, 6 months ago, he had a tune up because it was throwing mis-fire codes. Well, it has started again.. The shop put Magnacor's on, and "upgraded" to a K&N air filter. I told him to throw that away and get a regular paper WIX one to start. I was going to start by pulling his plugs and checking the condition, but his truck is getting pretty bad now. He is driving to Dallas this weekend, and I told him to throw a bottle of Lucas in the tank. He always runs 91 octane.

Here's a list of the codes:
PO155 O2 Heater Circuit (Bank 2, Sensor 1)PO307 Misfire DetectedP1319 Misfire with Low/Empty FuelDrive cycle C:Signal out of range - above maximum PO301 Misfire DetectedPO174 System Too Lean (Bank 2)PO305 Misfire DetectedP1300 Catalyst damaging misfire multiple cylindersDrive cycle C:Signal out of range - above maximumPO154 O2 Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 2, Sensor 1)PO300 Misfire Detectedany other suggestions? I tried to talk him out of driving it this weekend, but he resisted.

RE: lots of codes

Ask him if the trip is worth spending an extra $1000 on repairs because of his stupidy. The k&N will take out his MAF real quick, The supplier of the 02 sensore should be notified to see what they would suggest do and how about the plugs, what were installed and at what gap.
Tell your stupid friend to get responsible and leave the truck home, go rent a car and when he gets home, address all these issues.

RE: lots of codes

Easy Mike..... None of the codes are active. He replaced his air filter 3 days ago, and nothing has come back so far. I am kinda thinking that his O2 got loose and caused all the faults. His connector was a little loose, but nothing is active and it is running better than it has been. I wouldn't let him drive it if it was running bad, or the light was on. I just haven't had time to check his plugs...

He had the K&N on for about 6 months until I told him to take it off.

He called this morning, and I think he is going to rent a car just to be safe and leave the truck with me. Should be nice to have a nice Disco to drive..
