Yeah IMO you need to be raising a holy **** fit, seriously, you should have a rental car already, a free tow to a dealer and all that. I think you are really underestimating the damage they did to your truck and the huge cost of repairing it properly.

My Saturn got hit by a NYC bus (parked, twice) each time they towed the truck to a shop, gave me rental car, paid for everything and even apologized profusely.

Yes I know I should of made a big deal about it when it first happened, but I had a cold, it was late in the day and my voice was almost gone, but now I am rested up, got my voice back and tomorrow all H*** will break loose.

Indeed, they're correct: they've likely fried one or more components of your drivetrain.

If you look on the radiator support, under the hood, you should find the sticker that says that your vehicle has a USEPA exemption from loaded dyno emissions testing *unless the testing station has a properly equipped 4-wheel dyno*.

They should have known better, and they should be fixing every little bit of this, up to new standards.

Stand your ground on this one. No need to yell at them; you're going to win. They damn sure ought to know that full-time 4WD/AWD vehicles can't be tested on a 2-wheel dyno... there are enough of them.

Just keep asking "so, to whom will I submit the repair invoice?", until you get far enough up the tree to get an answer instead of a handoff.

Well, belive it or not I just got a call from the Supervisor of the State smog station, told me they will take care of everything, even supplying me with a rental car until my vehicle is repaired. Waiting on the tow company now to take it to Land Rover of Scottsdale, AZ.

Not always, no. Occasionally, though...

Take notes on how the rest of the process goes, and let us know; that way the next poor guy who gets nailed will have a better idea what to expect.
