Miss Fire

My vehicle misses when you first start it up and drive away, then after 30 seconds hits on all cylinders. It also misses after 3,000 r.p.m. or when you get on the gas hard and it down shifts.

I have 100K miles, use 92 octane, replace spark plugs with bosch plat. 4s, new 8 mm wires and performed induction cleaning twice along with adding sea foam, justice brothers gas treatment to the gas tank. I have checked the connections at the coils and spark plugs. I have not pulled the codes, but will go to Autozone to see what they say.

Any thoughts, questions or other information needed would greatly appreciated? I have seen on this board where MAF sensor and coils can be the culprit.

Could be fuel pressure related

Here are my codes: P0171 & 174 - System to lean: Multiplicaton injector adaptive fueling - lean limit exceeded RH & LH Bank:

sounds like u might have a vacume leak check for a hissing in engine bay while its running

No vacuum leaks. I also had P0733 / 734....From my research on this site, it seems to be a MAF sensor.

With the tranny code in there also, you have a failed MAF, when was the last time you cleaned/replaced your air filter, are you using a K&N air filter or paper?

I replaced my air filter in the last 1,000 miles / month with a paper element. I am ordering a Bosch (new) MAF. Will tell you what happens.

Installed the new MAF....no miss fires during start up or high rpm.....YEAH!!!!

Glad that issue is gone.

Also, good for you for researching and finding it. The tranny codes along with the lean codes signal MAF every time.
