Missing Inspection Plate?

1 Attachment(s)
Hi All,

Sorry in advance for the newbish question.

I just crawled under the D2 for the first time and was checking just how bad it was leaking oil (eeeesh), the condition of the prop shaft, etc and found what appears to be a missing inspection plate (I think) from the Torque converter(?) housing. I have been able to identify it in pictures from the RAVE but cannot find a direct reference to it (Can be found in D2 page #44-37, pic ref M44 1038 & 1129 at bottom of picture)

Also attached a pic to help with identification.

Can anyone identify the proper name of this so I can find a replacement.

Also other than the risk of dirt or debris entering through this can the vehicle be driven or run so I can continue the 100k+ refurb procedures?

Many thanks in advance!

It's the torque converter cover plate, and if the catalog in russia is correct, it's part number FRC7706.

and it says the bolts are M6 X 16MM, part number SH106161L, but I assume any old M6 X 16MM will work... though i'm not expert on hardware... is 16MM a common length?
