Default more on the brakes

I read the post on ABS and it sparked yet another braking question. The soft pedal issue can result from having dirty abs sensors? If that is thecase wouldn't that cause the pedal to pulsate at the same time? I have the soft pedal as well as every once in a while the three lights appear... So I'm gonna say I might as well take my wheels off and clean some abs sensors. Are there any tricks to this?

Iv'e never heard of ABS contributing to a soft pedal. Can someone learn me? As I understand it, ABS is either on or off (pulsating or not). A soft pedal could be from old rubber brake hoses swelling when the pedal is pushed or from air in the system, or a leak. I don't know how it would be related to ABS.

ABS will not cause a soft pedal. If you have air, or a ballooning brake line, it may aggravate it if actuated, but if the pedal is soft, it is not from a wheel sensor.

If you pull a sensor out, be sure to replace the rubber gromett.

Soft pedals are caused from old brake fluid, sometimes a little air in the lines and quite ofter tired rubber brake hoses that are attached to the calipers.
