MULTIPLE MISFIRES/unresp

Hello all, im new to the site and have some questions about my 1999 Discovery 2 (not diesel)
I currently have the following issues misfires on cylinders 2,4,6,8,5
and a random misfire
also there is no reading from o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1
(both front o2 sensors are brand new)
also we just replaced the ignition coil and ignition wires as well as the spark plugs (purchased champion double platinum plugs and gapped at .40)
the vehicle initially was misfiring on 2,4 only then all of a sudden was very sluggish and wouldn't accelerate without pushing down the gas pedal hard.
so we then replaced the ignition set and all evens and 5 were
-we have the firing order correct
-all plugs and wires are firmly set in place

now when the vehicle drives there is a delay in response when the accelerator is pushed.
then is reacts and drives fine
but when barely putting pressure on it to keep a constant speed
the rpms will drop and continue to drop then the Service engine light will flash
we've had one cat converter changed as our shop stated the other was fine
but I've noticed smoke coming from the o2 sensors while the car is warmed up
so could the cause possibly be faulty o2 sensors or the that the old cat converter is clogged?
any help is much appreciated
and PLEASE let me know if you need further information
Thanks again

Re check connections. Re seat if possible. When you mentioned clogged cats, how clog? When ses light blinks, it wont damage your cats any more. Just try, reving pass 3k for few mins. Reset codes. Observe. Run a cycle, until codes appear. Post report.

Yea I would double check your spark plug wire order again. I have put those damn wires on backwards a few times. I would Clear codes, start truck then rev and hold at around 2500 -3000 RPM's for a minute or two and post codes. Does it start hard? also do you have an ultragauge? Did you say you only replaced the even cylinder wires?

Thank you for the swift responses!
we have double checked the order of the wires on two separate occasions (before installing and after driving around for a couple of days) all plugs and wires sit nice and snug both the plugs and coils they are definitely making contact
just to make sure we got it correct we used a diagram off of Atlantic British and a couple of other of sources that matched.I do not own an ultra gauge unfortunately. I do need buy an obd II scanner. The vehicle occasionally starts hard but not most of the time.
any other potential solutions or problems that you can think of that may be related these issues are greatly appreciated. I will post the codes ASAP. Oh and would you guys recommend the use of a cat converter cleaning solution from an auto parts store?
Thanks again!

It seems every time i have codes pulled, a new one shows up.
here are the following codes
p0308 cylinder 8 misfire detected
p0123 throttle/pedal position sensor a circuit high input
p0300 random misfire detected
p0304 cylinder 4 misfire detected
p0154 o2 circuit no activity (bank 2 sensor 1)
p1300 catalyst damaging multiple misfires
p0306 cylinder 6 misfire
p0305 cylinder 5 misfire
p0302 cylinder 2 misfire
p0301 cylinder 1 misfire
p1884 CAN message wfpdk (dki) invalid (ffh)
p1551 idle air control valve fault (closing)
p1514 neutral drive load fault

Lets recap, You changed ALL the plug wires right? When you replaced the coil packs, where did you source them from? I once had a very similar issue with my Disco and it was a bad plug wire, completely undetectable by the eye until I pulled them all out and inspected on the bench. Were the stored codes wiped clean before pulling new codes? I still feel like this might be in the plug wire department, also on a side note I love how all of the coil pack Firing order diagrams are presented from inside the drivers seat view, because yea, that's where I'm at when doing work on the coil pack, lol. I feel your pain man. I know you've double checked, but seriously I would take all the wires off and triple check everything.
