Default My First Disco

I've been creeping on this forum for the past month debating over buying a Disco. Well today I did it. Now here I am with a 1999 Disco II with 128k and a recently blown head gasket. I plan to strip it to the block, re machine the heads, clean what I can and put it back together with an British Atlantic gasket package. Of course the leaky head is just public enemy number one and this truck has a myriad of other issues including a key stuck in the ignition, rusty exhaust and the three amigos. I bought the rig for a couple hundred bucks and my question is: Should I part it out and get my money back or say **** it, roll up my sleeves and put this beauty back on the road?

If you have the time and extra money, and it at least looks good aesthetically, I vote yay for the rebuild. If the paint sucks, has a bunch of dents and dings, sagging headliner, torn seats, cracked or broken trim and moulding I would part it out and buy a really clean one that has a blown motor and start over with that.

A picture or two would help.

IMO, if it cost a couple of hundred bucks and still has a rook of issues just part it out and you'll make 10x the price you paid and then check in some and buy yourself another LR without any issues.
