Found this in our 1k Disco. As far as bolts go this looks unique and important.
Any ideas where it came from?

Thanks, that would explain the horrible banging noise on full throttle.

just some extra junk left by the PO I guess.

Pull the oil pan and look.

Luckily it doesn't look like the bolts in these engines. whew.
