Default narrowband or wideband O2 sensor

Hi,

How do I find out if my Disco has a narrowband or wideband O2 sensor?

As I understand narrowband are the most commond ones.

All the 4 sensors (2 pre/cat, 2 post/cat) have four wires.

Discovery 96 SE7 (4L, V8)

Thanks,

I agree with Spike...Why ask ??? There are fairly cheapapplications for your Discovery so why bother trying to match any other ones. Unless you study in this field and was just wondering.

It is based on your vin. Go to Rover Connection and use their guide line to find the proper 02 sensoer for your truck.

Zirconia O2 sensor (narrowband/wideband) Creates an output voltage corresponding to the quantity of oxygen in the exhaust relative to that in the atmosphere.

Titania O2 sensor Does not generate its own voltage, but changes its electrical resistance (ohm) in response to the oxygen concentration. Titania O2 Sensor Cable designation: red - 12 V (heater) white - 10.8 V return (heater) 1.2 volt stay always inside the sensor yellow ground black - sends resistance (ohm) signal to the ECU

That's quite a bit more technical than I can handle, but thanks for the new knowledge.

LR uses heated O2 sensors. Thats all you had to ask. Heated or not.
