Need Help Reading ABS Faults
 

Hello everyone,

3 Amigos have been on steady for 3 weeks now. My scanner just came in and here is the story:

I plugged it in and the "bling" sound came ON (same noise as when 3 Amigos show up). I assumed that now they are reset. But no.....they still stay ON. I did this 3 times and here is the report (see attached image).

Please help me read these codes and what would you do to fix the faults. Like I said...3 Amigos are still frickin' :mad: ON!!!!

Looks like you need to rebuild your shuttle valve, there are kits out there to do that.

Shouldn't I use option B in the write up section on ABS fix?

I'm curious how old the wheel speed and ECU faults are, but from the active code of 114, definitely check out the ABS sticky at the top of the page, and check Josh's site for the writeup.

I read Josh's write ups and they are great. I think I should be going with "Option B"? What do you guys think?

Do both the A and B repairs while you are in there and make sure to replace the 2 o-rings. Do a full 2 quart DOT 4 brake flush when you are done.
Once done, most likely the other codes will go away.

Doing A and B makes no sense whatsoever.

Do option B, but make sure you test the switch before jumping right into the mod.

Lots of things in this world make no sense at all, but you should do it cause both issues do happen at some point in time so do them both at the same time and be done with it.

The instructions even say (which I quoted by the way) that there is no need to do option A, EVER. The repair that is done in A is completely bypassed by the repair done in option B.

Thanks guys. I will be going with "Option B". If I remember correctly, there is no brake bleeding required....correct?
