need new cat, anyone use magnaflow?

Hi all, my cat is rattling like crazy and this site has really jumpstarted my interest in the old girl so I want to replace it. I want a quality, bolt in y pipe and the magnaflow looks to be a good deal. I'm not interested in louder and I like to feel like I'm getting a good deal so any suggestions? I read about the davico on here but I am open to advice. Thanks!

i'll let you know in a week or so; mine's on its way and hope to put it on this weekend

Just make sure you replace both cats and then find and fix whatever killed your cat before it happens again.

What would cause it to rattle like it does? It sounds like an exhaust leak when cold but soon goes away. Not a leak, I swear.

Couple months old, I know, but did you ever get this installed? Was considering bolting the Magnaflow Cat-Back up. AT said only 5 hp increase (not much for $550), but if you need new cats anyway...

sorry man, not on here too much. Yep, replaced the cats and sold the stock ones for $200. So far no more codes. I replaced all of the O2 sensors too while I was at it. The magnaflow system almost fit perfectly, I think the bends could've been a little better because I had to tug and pull the cat-back part into place to get the bolts in. I'm quite pleased with it; it does seem to be a little "throatier" too which I like.

Good info...any noticable power gains?
