New guy, possible old question

I have a 2002 Disco. One of the newest problems I have had is when I start the truck after it sits for more than 5 minutes it takes 3 cranks to start. The odd thing is, it starts religiously on the 3rd crank. Anyone heard of that before and, if so, have a proposed solution?

Thanks everyone.

so,,,, it starts fine after 3 cranks? and you find this a problem?

how does it start when cold? right away?

if you just turn the key up two times without turning it over then turn it over on the third will it start?

possibly fuel pump losing it's prime. I wouldn't worry about it until it got worse.

True, I guess compared to some, starting fine on the third crank works :)

I've tried just turning the key without actually activating the starter but that doesn't seem to make a difference.

I had wondered about the fuel pump or some type of vac leak, as well. I guess my fear is that one day it doesn't start at all....

Thanks for the input. This is a great forum. I was actually able to find the reason my sunroof leaks today. Drain line broke from the roof pan. Fixed it with a piece of rubber tubing. Awesome.
