New Rough Idle

Okay not sure what's causing this, I just replaced both Front O2 Sensors and also cleaned MAF sensor with MAF spray and sprayed all connectors with contact cleaner and allowed everything to dry for 45 mins. It runs great now but it just Idle's rough now. Any suggestions. Oh ya and there are no codes.

Wow

I posted this yesterday and no one had a reply.

Why did you spray your MAF? There is a 50/50 chance you killed it.
What about fault code numbers?

lilherc Oct 31, 2012 09:05 AM

I Sprayed it cause I have never had a problem before with sparying a MAF. No there are no fault codes, there was 1171 & 1174 before I changed O2's but they are not there any more.

D2 MAF's are not like all others, they are easy to kill.
So what octane gas are you running, when was it last tuned along with new 8 mm silicone wires and are you having to add coolant lately?

In the last month New Bosh 2 plugs, Magnacore plugs. and fulll rad flush and themistate . I was running great just sucking alot of gas before I the sensors and MAF yesterday. I never use anything less than 91 Octane.

Sorry I meant Magnacore Wires

sucking gas sounds like you were running rich....

If it is that bad, you should have some fault codes.
Have you cleaner the t/body?

None of the BMW and VW guys complain about MAF cleaner killing their MAF, and it's the same part. I think the issue is that when people think they need to clean it, it's already got one foot in the grave. Cleaner cannot fix broken. It fixes dirty.
