Default newbie ??? about disco 1

First time poster and first time owner of a 1999 Landy Disco 1. It has 100,000 miles on it and seems to be very well taken care of by the previous owner. Is there a checklist of things that i should do to set a baseline on the maintenance stuff myself. Never really did much wrenching but looking to learn if anyone in the Milwaukee/Chicago area wants to teach me. I was made aware by the previous owner that it does need new brakes and rotors all the way around. Are those kits on ebay any good or should I just buy one from Atlantic British? I'll mainly be driving in the city. Also it needs new o2 sensors. How many are on the Disco? Thanks for answering my ??? and looking forward to being an active member of this forum.

There are four O2 sensors, one before and one after each cat. If they need replaced there should be a code in the computer for it malfunctioning. They can get expensive so dont replace them if they dont need it. I havent had to do brakes on my D1 yet so I will let someone else answer that one. Even with the issues my 96 is giving me at the moment, I still love it. Mike

Ken,
If you want, I would be glad to walk you thru all the maintance needed on your Disco.
As for the O2's, at 100,000 miles they may not give you a fault code but they are not performing to the originail design and you are loosing power mileage and power unless you change them out.
Send me your tele number and lets talk,
Mike
