Well I revived an old thread of mine but figured I better start a new one for some more valuable insight. I installed a new magnaflow y pipe with cats in late February of this year after the head gasket replacement and new walker o2 sensor for the upstream. Well after driving with them for about 6.000 miles, I got the P0150 code the other day going to work and it was showing no voltage via the ultra gauge for the bank 2 upstream sensor. Contacted rock auto and will have a replacement on the way since it's still in the 90 day warranty period. When I pulled the sensor, it looked fine and there was very minimal soot on it. No oil on the connectors or even close and nothing around the sensor. Any ideas what would cause a product recommended by the brits to replace the Bosch ones to fail so quickly? Thanks for the insight.

 

I wish I had something to offer you, but I too have wondered why DIIs eat O2 sensors. I've had some bad out of the box and others have failed in relatively short time, while I've never had one fail in any of our other three vehicles ('05 Honda, '06 Honda, '08 Lexus).

 

Yea and that's crazy for every other vehicle to have o2
senskrs that pretty much last the life of the vehicle n we get o2 demons. I wish there was a was to bypass em
all together and let the factory fuel map do its thing
