Obd2 not responding with scan gauge
I have a 2000 disco that just recently quit communicating with my scan gauge, It started acting funny a couple days ago by just displaying the volts but now just won't communicate I have tried it in my car and works just fine. Any ideas guys? Thanks

Fuse?

Fuse seems to be good it lights up but won't communicate with it

Had a similar problem. Check fuse 20 in drivers panel. Third down on right row. If not that check ground wire.

Thanks TJ, is there another ground besides the one on the drivers side foot panel?
|
I think I have figured its a ground problem is there a way to splice in the ground wire on the obd2 plug and run a new wire?
|
Pin 4 is the OBD2 plug ground wire and the ground point is behind the drivers foot well carpet. This blog site is great: OBDII | Discovery 2 V8 - A budding enthusiasts story

Thank you!

Ok so I have over 12 volts and checked ground but even the hawkeye won't communicate, any I other ideas?
|
Any other issues? Dome lights, turn signals, working? I had an issue with the obd II port and it was related to corrosion issued with a header in the pass foot well.
