Oil Change and Lubrication

So I changed the oil today..

I made the shift to Royal Purple Synthetic today and then greased my U-Joints and Swivel Joint.. (CV)
I put a splash of Royal Purple Gear oil in the Swivel Joints and then some grease.

As for the Universal Joints..
Not much old black grease came out, and when the new fresh grease started to come out of the U-Joint, it only came out of the two closest to the nipple. This happened on basicly all of them..

After reading This Thread I was a little concerned.. Should I try to grease them again after a few hundred miles to see if any plug has worked itself loose???

And what about the Flexible Coupling on the Rear Propeller Shaft?? Is there a recomended replacement interval??

Oh and my Track Rods are the "Sealed" variety.. so no joy lubricating them.

Dont worry about the u-joints, just grease them at every oil change. The new grease will work its way in and they will take more grease and get easier to grease as time goes one.

As for the rotoflex, just inspect it for severe cracks at every oil change, you will know when it goes bad, you will get a bad vibration when driving.

I am a big rotoflex supporter, that being said, because of the age of your truck, dry rought may take your out now that it is being driven a lot again, so get an eye on it for the big vertical cracks and replace it with one from Rover Connection and stay away from the cheaper American made disc's that don't hold up.
