I ended up putting in Mobil 1 5w-30. I went to checkers and looked at the rotella... SCARED ME lol it was like TURBO DIESEL... So im like... NAH!!! lol but if everyone swears that it will do better then more harm, then the next three thousand, Rotella it is! I also used a Fram Tough guard oil filter.

Put in Rotella 5w40 next time. It doesn't matter if it says diesel.

It may say diesel but if you read the different specs on the back is it completely safe for gas engines (as most HDEO's are). Definitely use it. It is a much better oil for our trucks than the regular Mobil 1 5w-30 (the non EP or HM).

I even have used it with my two one liter honda motorcycles. :cool:

yes it is good with a wet clutch too (no moly).

When I drove cement truck we used Rotella 15w-40 in EVERYTHING!!
The fork lift, pick up truck, bull dozer, BobCat, front end loader's, the engines on the cement trucks of course, the automatic transmissions on the cement trucks, the hydrolics on the cement trucks...did I mention EVERYTHING?
It is one hell of a oil, and it lasts forever.
In the trucks, we changed the oil once a year no matter what.
There was a 500 gal tank in the store room with a hand pump, you needed engine/trans/hydrolic oil you pumped what you needed into a jug and poured it in.

Anyway, I'm getting ready to tune up my 98 Disco LE 4.0 and saw your comment about greasing the u-joints and slip-joints. Well, I've never done it before but it doesnt seem that hard. I need a grease gun and find the grease nipples, right? Can you point me in the right direction?
