Sorry to burst your bubble I live where you do - the heat and humidity is so high here in the summer. No matter what you do, there simply will always be some weeping, dripping from the oil pan. The only way to seal these things up is permanently and that is not recommended.

I love Permatex Spray Tack Adhesive for holding gaskets in place. It disipates over time like grease, so the next time you pull that part off, you will only have gasket, no goop to deal with. I haven't yet used it on the Rover....My engine is still T.I.T tight
