Default Oil psi numbers

Are these numbers ok?
I get btwn 17-24 at operating idle
50-52 at cold start
40-48 at 2k on the highway operating temp.
The last one worries me since rave says 50 psi at this setting. Is that a max number, or is there an acceptable range? I use rotella 15w-40. Thanks.

Your operating idle is way to high, should normally be between 8 and 12, otherwise they look fine.

I drive a lot of frequent short distances so that may have something to do with it. The lowest I've ever seen was 13 or 14 after driving a good distance. Rave says 10 minimum, so I'm happy with mid teens (or at least I thought I was).

Filter brand can also have an impact.

your numbers are good. The higher idle psi might be a product of oil not quite to full temp.

Ha, yea I just came to that realization in the thread below this. I changed the oil and filter anyway and let it warm up longer and it's down to 12-17 at idle. All good.
