ome shocks
#12
I got the front OME Nitrochargers installed last night and boy having these all the way around sure improves the ride over the stock units. Installation on the front is a little more complicated (mostly getting them out of the engine bay) but got it done in under 2 hours. I used the softer versons on the rears 60026 and the standard units on the front 60024. They are definitly the way to go.
I have a Disco 2 V8 2004 with SLS, ACE, 5 seats, no aditional equipment and standard suspension, and I want to put OME shocks 60024/60026 but keeping the standard height. I want this change because with the Land Rover shocks the car have a lot of lateral movement, specially on the rear. Recently I replace both air springs and front and rear heights are on specification.
According your exprience since all this time, Is there any inconvenience to use this OME shocks (60024/60026) with standard heigh? As I understand, the OME shocks compressed are 8 mm longher than the factory Land Rover but I don't know if this could be a problem
