Default Painting the Frame

Has anybody painted their frame? I'm thinking of doing mine since it's getting pretty rusty. It looks like it had some sort of black undercoating put on sometime ago (spent it's life in snowy Vermont), but most of it has come off and the rust is taking over. What is the best stuff ? I'm thinking POR-15 would be the best way to go, but I've never used it.I haveused Rust Bullet on my Jeep and wasn't all that happy with it. How much would I need? I'm looking to do the frame, trailer hitch, axlesand control arms. How did you apply the paint, was it a pain in the behind? I've seen some pretty rusty frames before, but have never actually seen one fail. Is frame rust ever really a problem, or is it just cosmetic? Why am I able to write such a long post given how this forum is behaving lately?

Just take it to a body shop and ask them to under coat the chassis.
Frame rust isint a real issue until the car is over 20 years old and has spent its whole life in road salt.
As long as you wash the underside every spring and get all the road salt removed it will last forever. Or at least as long as you will own it.
