Great info and thanks. I went to look at it, and I think I am going to pass on it. Engine sounded good (no ticks) and trans shifted OK. The check engine light was flashing though, and they said that started after they washed the engine (could be true). But, the biggie was that after running for a couple minutes the 3 Amigos showed up. I don't have a scanner for that, and also forgot to bring my Ultra Gauge to check the codes.
Only other thing I saw was a small coolant leak by the throttle body heater. Otherwise, no big leaks, no peanut butter in oil and no coolant out the tail pipe. Not sure what I would be getting into if I pulled the trigger. 03 SE7, 95K and could get it for around $5,500.

Sounds f*cked, good work passing on it.

I have a second one in mind but it is a couple hours away. It is an 03, but out of the bad vin range. Body looks good so no having to change the bumper, but would likely want to swap the other stuff regardless. So, we will see on this one now!

I would go 04 honestly, then you get the locking center diff

I thought the same thing, but in the 2 years I have had my current one I have never had the need for it. While it would be nice, I'm really just looking for a good deal. I use it for snowboarding/skiing, mountain biking and general stuff like football practice and such. I have gone into the trails a bit, but I'm not doing anything crazy. The AT tires gave it a touch of a lift and plenty of traction. With that said, if the right 04 was presented I would go for it.

Yeah if there's a big enough price difference never mind, but if it's similarly priced definitely go for it. I regret not getting one.
