Default Power Steering flush and refill questions

Ok so I hope this hasn't been answered before (I did search it several times but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for). Who ever owned my Disco before was using regular power steering fluid when I got it 2 months ago. Due to the bad power steering gear box leak I haven't changed it out I just kept adding what they have been running. I have now changed my hoses and cleaned the area well to try to find the leak. I am going to try a flush and refill adding some suggested stop leak from another thread. What I need to know is a good step by step on how to drain and flush this system. Also is it synthetic power steering fluid to use or is it ATF? I seem to remember reading ATF several places but DiscoMike's sticky thread says synthetic power steering fluid. If it is ATF will general purpose dexmerc work. I have a gallon sitting around that is brand new. Any other tips for a disco newbie would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Send me your tele number and I'll call and walk you thru what needs to be done.
You'll need 4 quarts of P/S fluid, a Bottle of Lucas P/S additive and a turkey baster, hand pump.

Thanks Disco Mike. What kind of p/s fluid do I need to get? Was I wrong thinking it was supposed to be ATF? I won't be able to get around to this until tomorrow. My number is 325-200-7689. You can give me a call tonight or tomorrow. (I will be out of pocket at between 1000 and 1130 tomorrow). Thanks again.
