Since you mentioned this has got me thinking.
I recently added Lucas steering stop leak fluid to my groaning steering pump. The steering stop fluid is thick as 90w molasses and honestly it does groan a lot worse and loudly now since I did it. I'll have to drain and revert back to Pentosin CHF fluid.
