Pretensioner Circuit

Hey all,

I have had a recurring SRS light. The code reads 'Open circuit fault in the RH pretensioner circuit'. I'm able to clear this code by unplugging the yellow connector under the passenger seat and reseating it.

However I'd like to find the root cause to eliminate this for good. Just wondering if anyone has any tips?

I'd like to find the root cause for this fault also.
I just wiggle around wires, unplug connectors under the drivers seat, inspect wires and connector pins, reconnect plugs and then then no more fault... until the flashing SRS light pops back up again months later. :poop:

The pretension circuit is the seat belt buckle assembly. They are designed to tighten and move in an accident. Get a new or good used one and replace eit

On the D2's I've worked on with fault codes for the tensioners I've always found the wires nicked and grounding out against the seat. I either repair the wires, or wrap them in tape, reset the faults, and normally they never come back.

You mean the seat belt assembly actually moves/tightens? Not just the stop in the pillar?
