Exclamation Proud new owner of a 01' Disco 2, electrical noise when accelerating and stopping

So, I am the proud owner of a Discovery 2, and was hoping the community might be able to assist me with with a weird noise issue that has me baffled.

when accelerating or stopping, or having just stopped there is a weird sound of a small electrical motor running for something like 3 seconds. I swear its coming from the passenger side adjustable seat, but interior noises are hard to diagnose.

Just for a quick background, intermittent ABS, Traction Control, and Hill decent warning lights are coming on.

Thanks in advance!!

Do you have an air suspension?
Just have to ask since some models have more motors and pumps than others

Mine does the exact same thing when coming to a stop.

Best I can tell is that it's coming from behind the dashboard somewhere, maybe it's a blend door or something for the HVAC?

My power steering pump makes a very high pitched noise when the wheel is in certain positions. It's only audible when the radio and ac are off and it sounds very much like an electric motor whinning. Try moving your wheel around and see if the noise changes.

I think Racer X may be right. I pressed one of the dash buttons and it made the same kinda noise for the same duration.

KingKoopa, Ill try to wiggle the wheel the next time and see what happens.

How long have you owned the truck? Did you buy it from a individual or a dealer?
Your intermittent lights are what is known as the 3 Amigos. What it means is that your ABS block has issues and fluid may be leaking past the O rings and the electrical connections within the ABS modulator/Shuttle Valve assembly are going.
There are many posts on this including a modification.
I'm asking because if you bought this from a dealership, they should fix it as you probably got some type of warranty?
