Well for those wondering I pulled the SVS and one of the switches is open circuit, so I've got one coming from FCP euro. All of $40.

I know what I said anyone that can read would understand I am talking about the insulation itself. The brown insulation is either going to be cracked all over or all of the insulation is 100% gone without a trace as it crumbled to dust and fell out the few holes on plastic bottom piece.

Any used D2 out there with the 3 Amigo's had one or more previous owners new to Land Rover's take it in, and when the shop quoted them 2k to fix it they just left it alone, sold it, and next owner did the probably did the exact same thing.... When all it needed was a darn Option B Bypass performed, and probably some wheel sensors, a broken plug to an ABS sensor, or worse case a new hub....

If the OP was closer I'd already have diagnosed, and fixed his 3 Amigo's for under $10.00 more than likely.

Hard to see all the cracks in the insulation in this picture, but there are a lot.

This was taken from the main Option B write up, but this is exactly what I'm talking about and this is very common to find especially if it's the OEM Shuttle Valve Switch assembly. I took one that looked just like the ones above, cleaned it up, tested it, used 3/32 heatshrink on the bare wires, installed the 2 Wire Trailer Harness for Option B, and it's good to go!

Those are horrifying. I was going to Option B it and go, but the insulation at the switch was so cracked I checked the resistance on each switch and one was open (the other was fine and changed when pressed). So new one is coming and ill prolly option B it for good measure.

Yeah the brown insulation isn't what I'd call the best of it's kind lol.

Yes, you should do Option B while you have it apart.

New switches won''t address a failed printed circuit solder joint buried inside the modulator. It would be a drag to install the new switches and still have The Boys from South of the Border hanging around with a Shuttle Valve Switch Electrical Failure code.
