ORIGINAL: Spike555

Yes that is a D1. The D2's have different taillights and LCD OD and climate controls.
One of the nice things about these trks is that no matter how old they are they still look good. Most people cannot tell how old they are.
Being a salvage title what happend to it? Did you find out?
And you are correct, most likely a bad head gasket. Autozone sells this stuff that other guy on another forum used call Bluedevil? He said that he had a blown head gasket on his D2 and figured he had nothing to lose, so he tried it and it worked. Leak is gone and he is still driving it.
The title is a "repaired" title. Best I can tell it was damanged on the driverside some time in it's life. Most likely a scrape/gouge down the length of it or something. The damage had been repaired and it actually looks like it was repaired well. Or course the slight paint overspray in key spots are give aways. Didn't look like any of the damange was more than skin deep from what I could see. It was repaired anyway and it's sure a lot nicer than a truck that drops rust on you every time you get under it

If I find it's the head gasket I'll pull it and fix it. It's not that big of deal for me to to car repairs. I kind of enjoy it.

Cool, it looks pretty clean so if you're fixing the HG yourself you got a good deal. That looks like an OEM frontbrush guard and those still sell for about $150-200 used. You could possibly drive this Disco for 5 years and still probably sell it for at least$2000 if you keep it in fairly good condition. The nice thing about these trucks is the price "bottoms out" higher than domestic or someJap SUV's. As long as they're mostly complete and can run & drive I've never seen one sell for less than about $1500 no matter how old it was.

Ok. I think I may have figured out how to attach pictures. In the one pic you can see my old pathfinder. Believe it or not that's the pathfinder's BEST side
